It's all about the question of what are we.
Are we capitalist, free marketists
or
Socialists, centralists.
lots of 'ists' but what do we really want?
Voters seem to forget this every three years.
If voters had forgotten now they know what socialist governments are about. Mr. Henry, a highly paid fat cat, sees nothing wrong in advising the government toward taxing anything that looks profitable.
Good idea but for two things.
1. These are public companies with dividends paid to shareholders
and
2.What would be the incentive to risk capital in a new business venture?
Only those in la la land treat business with such scorn.
Maybe Messrs Henry, Rudd and Gillard should spend some time in the real word. You know taking financial risks. Using your own capital.
Then watch as some dozy public servant advise a socialist government to tax their hard work because of 'super profits'
