The gambling lobby has its hooks in both sides of politics. The current head of Responsible Wagering Australia is former Liberal Party senator Nick Minchin. His predecessor was former Labor Party senator Stephen Conroy. People have moved between Responsible Wagering Australia (the industry lobby group) and the personal staff of both Scott Morrison and Anthony Albanese.
