I guess it was historically a silver mine and the project concept was to test the unmined load, which they have only scratched the surface of.
They haven't decided to mine anything yet so for now AgEq makes perfect sense.
It also makes it easier to determine ore values at a glance. The average person knows what the silver price is. I doubt many have any idea what Zn or Pb price is per kg/tonne.
