Honestly - I think this space is throwing up some interesting opportunities (BHP, Glencore, Teck) so not overly adverse to sitting on the cash for a little while more and I’m also bias to preferring a buyback at these levels ($5 - 7) to ensure i get bigger dividends in the future (or higher earnings per share)
At a guess I would say 50c minimum given the massive pile of franking credits and some stability now in coal pricing. I wouldn’t mind if that came as a special dividend q1-24 rewarding longer holders also gives cash in case something very compelling comes in the m&a space. back end of the year is usually where action is
at todays share price buyback for both q3 and q4 (this quarter) is in the money and saving some $6m at next dividend hence why I back the buyback, ie. I don’t think I could invest a dividend any better myself for longer growth
