I was hoping that Martin MD would tie this rare venture onto the Aussie speaking circuit with an announcement about Olaraz 2 and first production. However I see they dropped the Mt Cattlin announcement today so that may be as much as we get.

I disagree with Butch that the market will be nonchalant about Allkem hitting major project milestones. My view is that the market hungers for tangible evidence that Allkem can deliver on its promises about additional production. For instance permitting of the James Bay project by the Quebec provincial government would open for Allkem avenues to talk with the US OEMs, Japanese and Korean battery makers etc. Toyota Tsusho has a substantial ownership interest in Oloroz 2 and first production opens discussion about replicating Naraha and Toyota Motor and their recently announced plans for increased expansion in coming years. The Mt Cattlin announcement is slightly different in that it is about extending production rather than increasing production.
