The guy has apparently been successful in the past so not sure he needs this one to work.

I presume he doesn't want it to fail.

But think about it. If he is already loaded, gets $50k a year cash (plus $50k in shares) is he totally driven for it to go gangbusters quick?...or if he accumulates shares at a favourable mkt rate via the salary for shares deal...which he has been doing for years....then it finally goes up...=good win.

If it fails and it goes sub 10c....he still wins. I.e. he is already loaded, gets $1k a week salary anyway, and gets $1k week shares ongoing...that ultimately may be worth more. Particularly if he has spent years averaging down by 'sacrificing' salary for shares.

Not sure he is risking a lot apart from possibly reputation but at a time in his career that it kind of might not matter.

Lets just say these guys haven't covered themselves in glory....yet.

Overpromised...on timeframes....then kicked the can down the road.
