C - They are confident that by 17th July we will be extremely happy and will WANT to give them gifts.
I think option C is the most likely outcome, TBH. They are aware of our current sentiment, and are aware that their proposed resolutions don't look great to us now, but they are also obliged to give ample notice for the EGM.
