We need clarification on which minesites are to be exploited.

Feb 2023 announcement stated the involvement of CCCM “with a goal to acquire, develop and operate mining projects in Africa, in particular in West Africa (the “West African Project”).”

I asked this question of CCCM previously but no one stated thoughts on what it stood for…clearly it’s the three C’s involved…China Cameroon Congo or some variation on that, but everything up until now has only mentioned the Congolese side of Nabeba, Avima and Badondo. The Cameroonian mines of Mbarga North & South (collectively Mbalam) have only been mentioned in relation to rail line to connect them to Kribi.

If the additional 70 kilometres taps into Nabeba, then what is happening with Avima and Badondo? That’s what I believed formed the “West African Project”. (Belinga is the other target, being scoped by FMR).

I guess we return to the question of what sites are included in the arc of the proposed rail corridor. It would make no sense for CCCM to only include Mbalam + Nabeba and discount the other two sites (particularly as the mining permits held by Sangha exist).

As it stands, and I could be incorrect, the only known facts are the rail line to Mbalam, not the mine itself, and the Congolese assets. What about Mbarga North and Mbarga South?

Also, there was an African news article which suggested construction of a 1,000km rail line connecting the remaining Avima & Badondo to Pointe-Noire in the South of the Conga, which I was interested in given the additional Congo mines that could be tapped on that arc.

There are still questions for which we don’t have answers.

Are we to hear details on the scope of the West African Project soon?
