Yes, I am also wondering what people think these "soft" skills are.
There is also the stereotype that intelligent or highly technically skilled people dont have these skills, which if I remember the research correctly, it might be the reverse.
I do agree though, hiring based on someones ability to suck up to others is generally a long term bad move for any company hiring.
I wouldn't get too uptight about it Business leaders and Management types in Australia have always been a bit of an outlier compared to elsewhere.
