    the Vietnam protests marches were pretty lively events Jo.... the nearest we've come to anything close was the NY 2000 March across the Bridge for Aboriginal reconciliation. and the '67 referendum had strong support. historically the probability might be against you.

    this division was what I feared would happen, I gather many others had the similar concern. Albanese introduced the policy in parliament asking for a bipartisan approach and had Dutton been willing he would have joined in, though offering suitable critical analysis of various problem areas he saw, but generally supportive of the idea in principle..... and that is all that was asked.

    but no, Dutton had to create the division and milk it for all its worth.

    I accept your assertion on neutrality Jo. I find it hard to prove that I'm not a Lab supporter. but I make up my own mind and so I see the benefits, maybe you could outline the cost.
