My congratulations to Coby. We are very lucky to have him on the team.
When the long anticipated announcement comes through, it would not surprise me if it is really big.
Coby has spoken many times of the chicken and egg problem of fabs not wishing to commit without any guarantee of customers, and customers not wishing to commit before seeing qualification in a fab. He has also said repeatedly that they are "talking to everyone".
Given how long the negotiations are taking, we could ultimately see a multilateral agreement between WBT, a tier 1 fab, and one or more OEM customers. We might even see a cooperation agreement between two or more fabs. In view of the complexity of such arrangements, there may initially be an exchange of multiple LOIs, or a multi-party MOU, while they complete the final agreement. Just a theory.
