Not related . . . founder of Paradice Investments, David Paradice, is also a great polo player, as was the late Kerry Packer. Back in the early 1970s my mate with just one horse was playing polo against Kerry, who had rolled up with two trailers full of horses for swapping to fresh horses during the match. Kerry was so impressed with my mate playing the entire match on just one horse, that at the end of the match Kerry offered my mate, who was only 18 years old at the time, $50,000 for his horse. My mate turned Kerry down. That was 50 years ago.
