I haven’t posted on here for a while,I’m long term holder since 2009. Was looking into connecting some of the dots focusing on Germany Gov deal and Siemens.
What I didn’t know was the connection between Siemens and VW & BMW. I found this all very interesting.
This what came back on some searches and felt I should share.

Siemens has provided industrial automation solutions and digitalization technologies to VW in their manufacturing processes. Additionally, Siemens has worked with VW on projects related to electric mobility and charging infrastructure, similar to their collaboration with BMW.
3 BMW and Volkswagen (VW): BMW and VW are both major automotive manufacturers based in Germany. While they are competitors in the automotive industry, there have been instances of collaborations between the two companies on certain projects.
For example, in 2019, BMW and VW collaborated with other industry partners to establish the Ionity charging network for electric vehicles across Europe.It's important to note that these relationships are subject to change, and there may have been new developments or collaborations since my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. All makes sense in my eyes now, and is my personal view that the Siemens deal was actually the framework to potentially link everything else in Automotive industry moving foreword and not just about wind turbines and was a bigger deal than I realised at the time.
