As he did when he badly damaged Australia's relationship with China through ill-conceived sabre-rattling and intentionally offensive comments directed at China, Dutton is now presenting himself as the champion of denying Australia's First Nations Peoples formal recognition. We should remember what he's done prior to this - including his sickening boycott of Kevin Rudd's apology that even Dutton himself now rejects.
Indeed, having thrown down the gauntlet to deny formal recognition to Australia's First Nations Peoples Dutton is in pursuit of Abbott's Destructive Negativity Title.
