Whole market, and importantly Mr Market, everyone thinks candle buying will be the first to be cut when (not if) there is a retail buying recession.

When the whole market thinks this way, there is insufficient buying support. (Everyone is in agreement, and the buy the dip buyers who just accumulate on the way down without managing their overall position get slaughtered, the swet builds... loosing position)

Pricing is determined by the marginal seller, not buyer.

Marginal seller presses 'sell', not enough buyer, down she goes.

As share price declines, positive reinforcement in the negative sentiment of the market increases. (ie feeds on itself)
