You're putting yourself at a major disadvantage by eliminating from your news sources the highest quality centre-right broadsheet in the land.
How can you possibly defend your political position on any matter, if you steadfastly refuse to even entertain perhaps the most articulately argued case to the contrary, given that The Australian is where you're likely to find it? It certainly won't be found on Sky News.
Sure, on issues such as climate change, you have good reason to argue that the scientific validity is not always to the highest standard. I think that's the paper's glaring weakness.
But on general political issues, Scott, there's no question in my mind that the accuracy of information is excellent, the journalism is of a high standard - and IMO you're doing yourself a disservice to think otherwise.
Also, don't forget it was you who stated (or agreed) that we need to work on eliminating our biases.
So it's obvious to me now that your personal preference for leftist ideals has a strong element of bias due to your information sources mostly originating from the left.

That seems to be a typical difference between the right and left, the right watch their ABC, read some Guardian etc to understand the other sides arguments whereas the left love to stay inside their little echo chamber
