I am struggling to understand your viewpoint, even though I disagree with it.

I think there is only one grade of Australian. One is or isn't Australian, it's binary.
In your view one can be more or less Australian, on some sought of scale.
Is a recently naturalised immigrant less Australian than a white born here? Is the degree of Australian one is determined by number of generations here, how much one contributed or by race?
