That is far from accurate to be fair. Short interest has dropped dramatically since the CR as is quite clear to all, I understand frustrations but let's at least let facts remain as facts, not twist them into emotional conjecture:
Actual aggregate numbers:
It's EOFY, there is a second tranche placement, EGM and we are awaiting offtake news. Let's give this a few weeks shall we and maybe all calm down a little. The numbers haven't changed, the fundamentals haven't changed, Sayona's future profitability and growth potential haven't changed. The only change is the share price based on 10% dilution after raising $200m, a LOT of emotional sentiment from retail, combined with tax loss selling at end of year along with some other macro factors.
I think we may be looking at quite a different SP come end of July but who can tell. Really think many here need to just batten down the hatches, be confident in your investment choices and remember the fundamentals. The current price is awful and there have been some dubious actions recently however if you believe where this company is going (again nothing has changed, only got better) then this is a time to buy when others are fearful and sell on emotion not on fact.
Let's stick to fact. Instos seem to be keeping it in place while they can with poor sentiment helping them greatly, all the while they appear to be accumulating their holdings. The patterns in the buys, the cross trades, there are things going on, but many here are too hysterical atm to realise it.
Vote No at the EGM to whatever you want, BoD imo do need to be shown a message as the way some matters have been handled from a retail perspective have been very poor, but the fundamentals are looking better by the day, and be under no illusion that the instos know this too, our short positon HALVED.
SP action will most likely will be crap all the rest of this week, just accept that and go do something else is my advice, or use this time to buy if you are confident in where the company is going medium to long term. All my opinion, this is the stock market, there is no certainty, but for me SYA is a good place to have my dollars for the next few years. I've bought a few hundred thousand more this last fortnight, I hope I'm right.
