The company stated some months ago that the approvals for the wellhead and subsequent drilling would be finalised/commenced by mid this year. We are now at mid year and nothing has been announced so I presume nothing has been approved. Regardless of what supposed approval has been given to recommence on shore conventional drilling the relative department will be following Andrews unwritten direction that obstacles be created to stymie recommencement. It is beyond comprehension that any labor government could impose physical and financial hardship on the most vulnerable by driving energy prices higher on the basis that the actions of the small state of Victoria on its own can solve a world wide problem. One can only hope that the immediate families of the people who vote labor and the greens are the ones that are doing it the hardest and that they make sure that they let those voters know how hard they are doing it.
