These descriptions sound to me like they are addressing the specific issues that the chip has experienced prior to the GEN-II version. That would make this a description of the GEN-II version's structure and the software that controls it.
It is hard to get past the wording (patent-speak + translation services) to grasp exactly what is taking place, but it does suggest that this represents a part of the solution(s) to the problem(s) and worth patenting to ensure that it is all held as part of the IP.
My question is still exactly who is it holds that IP. Danny was unequivocal in his comments about his and AP's endorsement of EM's role in developing the product in cooperation with AP, and that the IP was absolutely safe. I am forced to conclude that he fully understands what is going on and has no qualms about these patents still definitively being AP's IP.
Clearly, by the time you get to lodge the patent you have to know that it works as declared. That is obviously what this indicates.
Clock is ticking down I think!
