If you look for BRK on ASIC website and look at documents lodged you will see that the ASX advise ASIC automatically and daily of Share Buy Backs as BRK is a publicly listed company. Therefore it would appear that BRK are not required to separately advise ASIC of the buybacks.
The shares are not held in some "Trading Name" or on a "Broker Prop Desk". As soon as BRK purchase them they are effectively cancelled at that point in time.
Hope that clears up another complete furphy that you are peddling.
