Yes, I don't get why the need for this announcement. The guidance looks pretty much the same as the one given earlier.
How about guidance on the real stuff that matters - capital returns to shareholders, dividend hikes, etc.
I think a major part of why the stock is trading at such a low PE ratio is because investors think management will just blow all their profits on poor investments or poor capital allocation choices. Return the profits to shareholders instead and watch the share price sky rocket.
