And so if the gross thickness of the Pebbly Arkose formation is less than 600m (which it looks to be) then this would imply that we may have a single hydrocarbon column which extends from the shallowest amalgamated channel in the Pebbly Arkose right down through to the top of the Upper Angwa formation. And if the shallower part of the Upper Angwa formation is oil prone, then this adds some more hope that the Pebbly Arkose is also oil prone (in addition to the fluorescence and other commentary from Scott).

This is what I’m hoping has lead to the delay in releasing SWC results and the requirement for additional testing. I would have thought that if Scott is going to come out and say that we have some decent net oil pay in the Pebbly Arkose and the top of the Upper Angwa (in the elephant size range of resources) then he’s going to need as much detailed supporting information and test results as possible to make this case bullet proof from any scrutiny or doubters.
