I completely agree. I worry about the long term effects of the WA wipeout of any opposition. If it's replicated at the federal level, the country will have a serious problem.
But the Liberals can't seem to stop shooting themselves in the foot.
I've said it before - if Libs can't clear the right wing lunatics out, Australia will have to look to independents like the teals to provide a conservative options for leadership.
