    obviously this is so, even when house prices on average are 3.5 years wages.

    what you fail to understand is, the average income earner earns about 65K

    take out 9% for super

    take out tax

    and the average income earner can not afford the cheap end of town, anywhere in any of the towns in australia. even at the rural fringe your looking at $250K thats a $25K P.A mortgage leaving $15K left to live on, thats hard mate. and 50% of the populate earn less than that!

    to think house prices are affordable is a joke. it was 10 years ago, it was in all history, it certinaly aint now.

    why not? there is no reason, so it wont last
