You are right .... it is a punt at this point in its price. However, it takes at least 9 months to sort out a drilling rig at best. But perhaps they have someone at the DOE ready to help them out? You know how it goes in the Philippines.

I remember a 7 standard deviation trade once (the old Euro Sterling futures - I think it was a calendar spread between front and third month contracts). Everyone thought it was a no brainer. Well...it went to 15 standard deviations! Go figure.
