So they talk about AAA gaming which SP8 has failed to deliver one AAA game in all the time since they first announced in 2018 when they said they would beat Google Stadia to market.

Then they talk about using cloud gaming as a way that people can play professionally to play in esports tournaments who cannot afford spending big bucks on a gaming rig. Issue is that playing professionally is a matter of milliseconds so having a crappy device using even 5G which is going to have download speeds of 150-200mbs is still going to put you at a disadvantage as your inputs are not as quick someone who is using a gaming rig. As it is simple matter of physics as lets make it a shooting game and you move the mouse/aim to the persons head and then click/shoot on cloud gaming you need to one need to have the speed fast enough that you don't over shoot which remember you are waiting for the game/image to download from the server and then when you shoot it then needs to send that command back to where the gaming pc is that is being stream to then for that to communicate to the game server to register that you have shot to then return the results that the shot was successful or not.

Now compare to to someone with a gaming rig which is rendering the image directly in front so there is extremely minimal delay as you aren't communicating to an external device which then when you aim and shoot you are getting the direct image and command directly to from your PC to the gaming server taking out one level of communication.

To simply the process below is what is happening and having your inputs directly going into the game server will always outperform sending the information through a secondary device as simply put even if both users were to shoot at the same time the person who is using the gaming rig will out perform the person using the cloud gaming as their shot will register first meaning the cloud gamer is dead as the other person shot even 0.1 second faster meaning the other person didn't shoot (according to the game server).

This isn't even addressing how they are going to compete with Nvidia or Xbox Cloud gaming or the other companies trying to do this which the previous mentions ones have always been seen as the market leader. Stadia was considered to be the main one as they never had a gaming library which Nvidia is using Steam and Xbox has their own game studios. All of which SP8 doesn't have ability to compete and likely won't ever be able to as the amount of funds needed to licence these games would be stupidly expensive and even Google wasn't able to throw enough money at it to licence and they were even looking at funding their AAA games themselves which costs 10s millions of dollars.

Yes SP8 will be able to use free HTML5 games which they can try to charge but there will be free providers out there for and the games as the company has said are of poor quality and have poor anti-cheat measures making them not suitable for tournament plays.

Don't get me wrong I do believe that in the future there will be AAA game cloud just like Netflix and all the others have gotten video on demand but video on demand is vastly different to gaming and just imagine having to wait for the stream/game to buffer the game/stream and the frustrations by not being able to give the command to jump, roll, shoot, swing the sword, block or whatever as it needed to download - where as with video you can just wait for the service to download which causes inconvenience but doesn't skip 5 seconds of the show but having 5 seconds lag will be detrimental to the user experience on a game as the game server is still playing just the image hasn't come through. However don't take just my word also look at things on reddit where users are still complaining about input lags

In 10-20 years time yes AAA cloud gaming will likely be more normal just like netflix and youtube's position was 10-20 years ago but it requires much faster and reliable internet to play where the experience will feel a lot smoother/normal without the input lag. However I won't be foreseeing SP8 being a market leader or even known in the market for cloud gaming as too many challenges and not enough cash to compete with the others and this is before even the game developers start thinking of creating their own cloud gaming which they might just like Paramount, Binge, etc all created their own diluting the market but again they all have rather large capital behind them and licencing already down to do this venture which SP8 hasn't yet shown one AAA game.
