Definitely understand your view as well, I just remember being super focused on a tiny difference that I missed out on a major rerate a while back. It didn't help that I had already spent so much time researching that stock and was more confident in it than any other. All that time researching and waiting for that entry gone to waste because I was waiting on a particular point
After that I realised you can't predict this stuff and it's better to just be in it than not at all. At the end of the day the price is what you pay, the value is what you get. If it's a great stock, better to pay a premium than miss out entirely imo
I guess we all have different approaches though which is fantastic, as markets wouldn't be able to function if everyone traded identically
