As you mentioned, market is forward looking. It certainly was ridiculously forward looking on Afterpay, that made no sense but Square bought the story. People will buy ZIP profit plans easily at sub $10 range once in profit.
ZIP is also seen as faster moving tech and not so much a bank - higher PE which helps.
They can release new products with a click of a button…instantly more revenue. Like Saas tech.
