If perchance the offer is close to 100% subscribed, by us or newly introduced investors - an extra 40-50% shares on the register, that's a bit of dilution if you choose not to take part and still hold.
On the other hand you may get to benefit from expanded company capabilities even if your holding is diluted. That is what happens when we retail holders are told by The Board of what ever company is looking for more cash - we have just raised $M from an equity backed CR to other investors, sophs, institutions etc.
