Sorry can't help myself, gotta comment but i will try not to speculate.
First to Eutrosorb It is a Sepro developed company product.
Now there is a video on Sepro's Aquatic Corner site and in that video Sepro aquatic specialists extol the virtues of PHOSLOCK.
https://diy.sepro.com/pages/algae-corner-removing-phosphorus-and-enhancing-water-quality-with-phoslock
that should indicate that Sepro and its distributors see Phoslock as a major remediation technology for phosphorus control.
If that is not enough Solitude Water Management is the largest of Sepro's partners with many dozens of agency offices thru out the US.
Here is what they say regarding Phoslock
" Natural Nutrient Remediation Solution: Phoslock
Eco-friendly pond nutrient management products like aluminum sulfate (alum) and EutroSORB are excellent solutions to capture nutrients suspended in the water column, but to target phosphorus that has accumulated in the bottom sediments, aquatic experts rely on a natural lanthanum-modified bentonite clay called Phoslock. Experts typically recommend this product to restore balance in stormwater ponds and smaller waterbodies where phosphorus levels can become more concentrated. When water quality is balanced, aquatic weeds and algae are less likely to develop."
