I don't disagree with your view on those media outlets, but it is a report from the UN (not infallible, but still ...).
The other thing that confuses me is that with so much rain over the past two years, dams being full etc ... why is rainfall so important to the 2023/24 crop? Don't farmers have enough stored water for comprehensive irrigation?
