Many years ago, I remember working at St Ives, and I heard the drilling crew had been running test drills on the salt lake (Lake Lefroy??) and they came up with a solid plug of gold, from one of their drill holes, either 9 inches, or 11 inches thick, from memory, after directly hitting a vein. An armoured car was sent out to take away the drill core!
I don't know how many grams per tonne that core equalled, but think of a figure!
Now if AAR can just find a drill hole, such as that...!!!
