Absolute ripper of an interview with WB. Not many MDs are as open as he is. Nothing is off the table and he is not sitting in his office with his phone off... if there is a deal to be made, he will listen.
Very pleased to hear that he is 100% focused on W.A (no overseas forays. He was very good at not giving too much away about what WGX might look at next in terms of acquisitions. He implied that GCY is not an option any more due to trucking costs (Diesel prices), but... I don't fully believe that.
I think WGX is going to keep selling down AME over the longer term, or... at the least, they have put up a for sale sign for their major holding.
Very interesting to hear that at least 1 of the 3 U/G operations closed last year, will come back online (but guess is Fender), plus WGX have lot of open pits to restart, and finally... WGX is finally going to restart it's green fields exploration, because he fully acknowledged that the Murchison region is underexplored.
A shame the guys did not quiz WB on dividends, as.. if they keep building cash even with new investments in Great Fingall, Big Bell and the open pits, sooner or later, they either need to grow, or start rewarding shareholders.
