The US National Centers for Environmental Prediction reported the average global temperature reached 17.01 degrees Celsius, breaking the previous record set in 2016.
Don't worry, we broke it again on Tuesday.
BBC yesterday:"Now that the warmer phase of El Niño is starting we can expect a lot more daily, monthly and annual records breaking in the next 1.5 years."
