The sellers were probably those who had made a nice profit and didn't want the capital gain to go into the 09/10 tax return. This type of thing often happens around June July.Conversely shares which have fallen during the year will be sold before 30 June so those traders can claim their losses against any profits.
Also of interest was the large gap in the share chart created near the end of May.Its uncanny how often a share will retrace itself to fill in the gap and yes it has happened today.
