Caylus, there's a guru whose name escapes me for the moment who specialises on trading such events. He uses an automatic system since the market is too fast to react manually. I have participated a few times in watching him trade in real time during such news releases. He was very impressive. Wasn't that interested though trading that way so given up following him over a year ago.
