sorry riding ,yes it shits me but it’s nothing to do with state street .They just lend stock as the hold it for investors as custodians and as part of the agreement they have-with the holders they can lend it out . They generate a return for what they charge the borrower . It is indeed a cloak and dagger dance and the lack of transparency gives the HFT an advantage. The asx is happy to accommodate that as they want turnover .
it all comes back to long term fundamentals .if you believe they story stay strong and ignore the daily girations
