it was the British who set up these communities, this was never part of their culture and in doing so changed their whole way of living that most are just out there everyday bored out of their brains existing on sit down money .

You can’t accept the fact the oldest culture doesn’t exist. For starters who was in the first wave of aboriginals but more importantly that culture was totally disrupted when Europeans arrived.

That’s why most aboriginals speak English more than their own dialects and most of their own languages have died
.That’s why so many of them are now Christian’s and know nothing about Dreamtime stories,
That they eat multicultural food generally not off the land.
The culture and way of living is essentially dead, you are trying to hold onto a dream out of your real or perceived guilt and in doing so are a large part of the reason the gaps never close.
You want to keep them in a past that no longer exists and you can’t accept that.
