Cleaning a rubbish is called selling.
Shorting is typically used for unsubstantiated twists in the share price that hugely favours big players. Same for options. De-risking the big ones on the expense of 95% of retails + pension funds and all such long term investment entities who serve the general public - and cannot use these shitty strategies. Its only about channeling money away from long term investment - no procreative value whatsoever…
