Anyone who thinks or thought that they wouldn't raise until next year & would neatly raise & secure debt finance at the same time - hasn't been following this too closely of late.

What one hopes will happen & what is going to happen are two separate matters altogether.

They managed to stave off VA. They've brought new faces in. The next logical step is an equity raise - so they can come out of suspension & trade again. Capital markets have dried up & debt financiers aren't tripping over themselves to lend in this environment. And there is no way of knowing when macro will improve.

If they have managed to restore confidence again & others are willing to stump up equity funds - you take whatever you can get. They aren't in a position to be overly picky. Everyone needs to brace for dilution here.

Choices. Run to the exits when they trade again & cop a loss - salvaging some capital. Or go again & hope the new restart study is robust enough to attract debt finance next year (?) & get them back on track to become a copper producer in two years at the earliest. It's a long road back. That can't be denied.
