Most takeovers in Australia are hostile takeovers. They usually succeed and can take time to resolve. Retail shareholders have little sway under these circumstances.
Where Management and high stake shareholders believe they are getting worked over they will attempt to find a 'White Knight' to offer protection from the unfriendly predator. The White Knight will use its financial strength to up the ante usually for a substantial holding in the target in exchange for board seats and the shareholding.
I'm not sure that PNV is robust enough at this stage to secure protection. So, where does this leave you and the other acolytes who seem to be holding out for the big bucks.
