Stockpanther, if only the stock market were that simple.
News driving stock prices either up or down really applies more to speccies than majors. And once the initial flurry is done with, prices then settle back to the "norm".
Prices will move up when the sellers are exhausted, have given up...and buyers then have to bid higher to get what few shares are available.
In my opinion we are pretty close to that point now.
