Yes of course, comes with the territory. As we all know, things can go wrong. Until they are producing their own cashflows risk will always be front of mind.
Small punt? Well for a lot of people what started as small is probably very large now. Does that mean they should sell their shares because of the risk? I don't subscribe to that theory. Let the winners run, no matter how large.
