"Surely if they are calling it APPRAISAL multiple times in an announcement they are planning to appraise it?"
Appraisal is a term that doesn't just refer to wells that include a flow test. Wireline/LWD logging and cutting full hole cores are all ways of appraising a well. An appraisal well can even not include a flow testing program.
