Whilst I agree with the terminology of this well being an appraisal well I think it’s pretty clear that in general terms appraisal wells are those that are flow tested.
I know this well will be flow tested in the future but I personally see it as a miscalculation by management.
With the sample to surface ticking a box that is expected to be ticked and no answers on if it’s commercial it’s likely Imo the sp will tank after a discovery is booked with no guide as to when flow test will happen.
Confirmed commerciality puts the leases in a completely different category which would hold the sp up long term.
