Maybe a large fund closing out a short position on the ASX lithium miners triggered by the tempered inflation news out of the US?
The smartest guys will close out their shorts first at a profit. The shorts in denial will eventually close out but after they drop 20% first.
Or could be a long only fund starting a big bullish bet for the remainder of 2023?
Either way someone is buying!
