Right rig, yes, right place, yes, right time, no unfortunately IMO. NOPTA approval will be a pre-requisite to booking a rig so August 23 is premature. As I mentioned previously it is very pleasing that the rig is off to NZ, staying in the area. Jan 2024 onwards is a much better fit. Also interesting to see that Valaris have another rig currently moored in Australia, Santos booked but have a delay, that may be a potential option once we have our NOPSEMA approval in place. The rig booking and NOPSEMA can be dovetailed but we won't be booking a rig until we have tenure of title i.e. NOPTA approval. JMO. DYOR.
