One of the smartest blokes I knew when I was growing up was the Dad of a mate of mine from school - he was the former CFO of a multi-billion $ multinational chemicals corporation, he retired to do technical trading, had his study walls plastered with charts and could wax on endlessly about head and shoulders this and golden cross that. Within two years he'd lost his house, his cars and his spare block of waterfront land. No doubt he followed all of the indicators and charting techniques too. Now he lives in a small unit and teaches other people about technical trading.
