A lot of the problems indigenous people face seem almost insurmountable what with poverty, alcoholism, domestic violence, fetal alcohol syndrome, unemployment, education, problems with authority etc etc. What is the way forward? Well hundreds of indigenous leaders gathered together at Uluru and came up with the Uluru statement from the heart. It proposes 3 things the first of which is an advisory group to parliament imbedded in the constitution. Now if you have a better suggestion about the way forward you should tell us what it is but hundreds of indigenous leaders have suggested that we give the voice a try. I think we should listen to them unless you have a better idea of how we move forward.
